“The following words, spoken by a smiling Himalayan swami to Ajayan Borys, sum up everything I have to say about this book and life: ‘[People] don’t realize that life without meditation is like a string of zeros. But adding meditation is like adding a 1 in front of all those zeros. Now you have a million, or a billion, or a trillion.’ This book can help you to connect with your higher Self and, as a result, with all creation.”
Ajayan Borys is one of America’s most experienced teachers of meditation and after many years he has released Whispers of the Himalaya, a biographical account of his youthful experience while living in a cave for a two-month meditation sadhana in the Himalayas…. His story is our story, and the reader will emerge a better, more cleansed, more realistic human…. Highly recommended for all on the road seeking to move from the “human” to the “humane” and beyond.— Swami Anandakapila Saraswati, author of A Chakra and Kundalini Workbook, and Ecstasy Through Tantra“Effortless Mind is a pure gift! I loved it! Ajayan is a master meditator who speaks in clear, practical, engaging language to offer a profound program of meditation that anyone can learn. In fact, his work inspires us to embrace meditation more readily than any work or practice that I have experienced. Most importantly, he reveals how to integrate the benefits of meditation into your daily life and make every moment a meditation. Ajayan is a teacher of the highest caliber. Thanks Ajayan for this monumental work. I highly recommend it.””

David Daniels, MD, clinical professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, Stanford Medical School and pioneer in the Enneagram system of nine personality stylesHi Ajayan,
I’m mid-way through your book Effortless Mind and just had to stop and thank you. Your book is the most clearly-communicated guidance I have found – book, internet, or otherwise – especially from my perspective as a Westerner and aerospace engineer. I’ve had some wild experiences in meditation and wanted answers, but others’ explanations wrapped in too much symbolism, or too many Sanskrit words, or too many subjective interpretations, had been leaving me confused and frustrated.
I appreciate that you took the time to clearly and effectively communicate your advice, which enabled me to finally figure out what mistakes I was making and how to correct them. As an R&D scientist designing moon robots, I know there’s a fine balance to strike to describe a complicated system, write in plain English for non-experts, and still not dumb down the material or over-simplify. I think you did a beautiful job.
I’m amazed how I went from being so stuck to finding it so easy in just a day of reading and practicing your steps. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I already have a couple people in mind who could benefit from reading your book, and I will be highly recommending it.
Take care,
Rachel Cox

Hi Ajayan,
I just wanted to let you know how much I have been enjoying the Effortless Mind meditation book and the techniques you teach in it. I haven’t been deeply impacted by my meditation attempts in the past but now I am really looking forward to it each day and constantly surprised by the powerful energy I feel during it. Perhaps due to your experience working at Microsoft, I think your writing style appealed to the engineer in me. Anyway, just wanted to tell you thanks! I’ve been telling my friends about it and just added an Amazon review.
Best wishes,
Erin
